On December 8, according to the results of international competition announced within the " Additional Financing for Electricity Supply Reliability Project" and " Electricity Grid Upgrades" loan projects being implemented in Armenia's energy system, Consultant contracts for supervision of reconstruction works of substations ''Haghtanak'', "Charentsavan- 3", "Charentsavan- 3" and "Ashnak" have been signed with Decon International GmbH - Consulectra Unternehmensberatung GmbH joint company. The contract for substations ''Haghtanak'', "Charentsavan- 3", "Charentsavan- 3" costs about $ 1 million and "Ashnak" substation costs € 339.4 thousand EUR. |
It is expected to reconstruct the substations. For this purpose contracts have also been signed with other contractor organizations.
At this stage planning works of substations are in process. The construction will start in first half of the next year.
It is planned to reconstruct and exploit all the 4 substations by the end of 2018. The Reconstruction and replacement of physically and morally worn-out equipment will minimize power outages and losses and will increase the reliability of substations and energy system will reduce operating costs.
