The "Energy Week 2014" Has Started in Yerervan

On July 2^nd, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan has participation in the opening of the "Energy Week 2014" event.

The Minister toured the exhibition pavilions and familiarized with the presented offers of Armenian market of the energy sector, particularly the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The Director of Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund Tamara Babayan, in  the opening of the event noted, that the activities and discussions in the frame of the "Energy Week 2014" are directed to the latest developments in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy, including the legislative reforms, funding opportunities,  technological novelties and future programs.

She said, that the aim of the "Energy Week 2014" is to improve the energy field significantly, to discuss current achievements, investment opportunities, to identify the barriers to the development and the ways of overcoming them.

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan welcomed the participants and the initiators of the "Energy Week 2014" and noted, that such events are very important for the development and progression of the sector.

- The renewable energy always has been a priority for our power system.

Consequently, in the result of these meetings and discussions, we need to understand and to find out, what hinders the further development of the sector, said Yervand Zakharyan.
