Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Minister of RA, Co-chairman of the Armenian-Iranian Inter-Governmental Commission Ashot Manukyan received on July 7 delegation headed by Science, Research and Technology Minister of Iran Mohammad Farhadi. Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyyed Kazem Sajjad partook the meeting.
At the meeting issues on cooperation within the framework of Armenian-Iranian Inter-Governmental Commission in scientific, educational spheres were discussed. Issues on preparation of specialists for energy sector and exchange of experience were also touched upon.
Greeting the guests, Ashot Manukyan congratulated the Iranian people on the presidential elections and voiced hope that during the second term of presidency of Mr Hassan Rouhani the Armenian-Iranian relations will countinue developing successfully.
Expressing gratitude to the Minister, Mohammad Farhadi referred to the prospects of Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the spheres of scieince, education and technology.
Highlighting the role of the Inter-Governmental Commission in the enhancement of cooperation, the parties stressed the existing serious opportunities for it. Mohammad Farhadi said Iran is ready to cooperate with Armenia in the spheres of science and education as well as in implemention of joint technology and scientific-research projects.
“We are firmly committed in developing partnership with Armenia,” Science, Research and Technology Minister of Iran said.
Referring to the upcoming cooperation programs, Ashot Manukian particulalry highlighted the specialized experience exchange in the energy sector.
“The cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector has reached a level where we already need specialized expereince exchange,” the Minister said.
