Second Phase of Works of ANPP Unit 2 Lifetime Extension Program will Start in May

Today a working consultation on activities planned within ANPP Unit 2 Lifetime Extension Program was held in the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources chaired by Minister Ashot Manukyan.  The consultation was attended by Ashot Martirosyan, the chairman of RA State Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee, Vahram Petrossian, a Member and Executive Secretary of the RA Presidential Council for Nuclear Energy Safety, ANPP General Director Movses Vardanyan, ANPP Chief Engineer Artur Grigoryan, Advisor to the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan, and other officials.

The process of works carried out for the implementation of ANPP Unit 2 Lifetime Extension Program, preparation and conducting issues, the schedule of the second phase were discussed. The implementing results of instructions given at the previous meeting were presented.

Summing up the results, the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan gave relevant instructions regarding the raised questions and issues.

The second phase activities of ANPP Unit 2 Lifetime Extension Program are planned to be implemented starting May 10 in 60-day period, during which refueling and maintenance works will also be implemented.
