The hot water problem of Lernamerdz community is resolved

Within the frameworks of the activities launched after the Prime Minister's instruction to provide thermal energy to non-gasified communities of Armenia the hot water problem of Lernamerdz community of Armavir region has been completely resolved.

This became possible as a result of an experimental pilot project.

For this purpose the assistance project to provide community with "Solar water heaters" and to provide population with hot water was approved by the decision of the Government. Within the project around 90 percent of the population has already got solar water heaters and provides all the domestic hot water demand on their own. Besides, solar photovoltaic panels have been installed for 29 families as they want. Community population was provided also with energy saving lamps.

The use of free solar resource will help community population to save significant means which can be directed to other energy efficiency projects in the same families. For this purpose, a revolving fund was suggested to set up where the returned money will be accumulated as a result of savings. 

Similar projects are planned to be carried out particularly in other non-gasified communities as a priority.
