A Pilot Project will be Carried Out to Construct Wind Farms

Access Infra Central Asia Ltd registered in the United Arab Emirates will implement a pilot project to build wind farms in RA Gegharkunik and Koytayk regions. For this purpose, within the planned investment project, the company will be provided a community-owned land total of 1,250 hectares with the rental right at the border areas of the regions. The decision on this was made at the Government session held on March 30.

According to RA Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan, a wind resource will be measured at these areas in the next two years. In case of sufficient result, up to 150 MW wind farms will be built. The project investment is estimated $ 150 million USD.
