There Are Positive Impulses in All Fields of Armenian-Iranian Cooperation

On March 24, Ashot Manukyan, Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources received Ibrahim Rahimpour, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran. The meeting was also attended by Seyyed Kazem Sajjad, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia. A wide range of issues of Armenian-Iranian and regional cooperation on energy, tourism, infrastructures and other fields were discussed.

Taking this opportunity, Ashot Manukyan congratulated the guests on the occasion of Nowruz noting that a lot of tourists from Iran have arrived to Armenia to spend their holidays here.  Armenia is always trying to create better conditions and offer new services for Iranian tourists.

Highlighting the high level of Armenian-Iranian relations, Ibrahim Rahimpour stressed that Armenia was the only country that President of Iran Hassan Rouhani and Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri visited last year. Speaking about economic cooperation, it was mentioned that recently positive impulses were noticed in all possible areas of collaboration and the results should be expected in the near future. 

It is expected that they will be already seen this year.

At the meeting the sides discussed the opportunities and prospects of both bilateral and regional cooperation in the energy sector. The construction process of Iran-Armenia third high- voltage transmission line was touched upon. It was noted that works are being carried out actively.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
