Construction Works of Iran-Armenia Third High-Voltage Transmission Line Carried Out in Several Directions

Within the framework of Iran-Armenia 400 kV overhead power line construction project works on importing equipment, digging foundation piles, concreting and installing piles were launched last year. According to Hrayr Harutyunyan, the head of loan and grant project division of the staff of Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources built around 100 km access roads were built in different parts of the power transmission line, 121 engineering-geological studies on anchor and angular piles were made, 59 foundation piles were dug, 39 of which were concreted, 6 pillars were installed. Marking works of 706 were completed. Armenia imported and stored LSD-3 spikes for 384 piles. The metal constructions of 13 pillars were totally imported.

In the "Noravan" substation works on 620 linear meters of fencing, 73.5 thousand cubic meters of soil cutting, transporting 40 thousand square meters of soil, backfilling more than 27 thousand cubic meters of soil, excavation of the foundation of the management building. 15 municipal and state plots of land, as well as 23 private-owned plots of land were purchased by "High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC.

The general contractor organization of Armenia-Iran third high-voltage overhead transmission line construction is Iranian Sanir group. The project is financed by Export Development Bank of Iran.
