26 Mining Permits in 2016

26 Mining permits for exploitation and geological works were issued by the Mining Granting Agency of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources in 2016.

As for mining exploitation 17 permits were issued. According to Hovhannes Yezakyan, the head of Mining Granting Agency of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, the permits referred to basalt, tuff, sand and gravel mixture, and mineral water mines.

2 companies such as Geghi Gold LLC and "Gharagulyan" CJSC were issued gold-multi-metal mining exploiting permit.

During 2016, 9 companies were issued geological exploration permits for exporting minerals. According to the head of Mining Granting Agency one company was issued a regional geological exploration permit.
