Natural Resource Management Concept Being Developed

The concept of natural resource management is being developed. According to Shushanik Kerobyan, Head of Department of Mineral Resources and General Geology of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, an interdepartmental working group was created within the National Security Council staff which consists of experts from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, Ministry of Nature Protection, Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development, Ministry of agriculture, representatives of scientific and educational institutions. The head of the commission is Vardan Gevorgyan, Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources.

It’s planned to develop and introduce the Natural Resource Management Concept to the National Security Council staff by the end of this year.

According to Shushanik Kerobyan, the work is going by schedule. The document will be an attempt to increase the effectiveness of natural resources management in Armenia, analyzing the current situation in the field.
