On September 30, the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan received the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the adviser to the Energy Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Homayun Hareh.
During the meeting they discussed a number of issues related to the implementation and expansion possibilities of the bilateral cooperation projects.
The sides also discussed the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the 13th session of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental Commission.
They especially highlighted the process of works carried out for construction of Iran-Armenia third high-voltage line. It was noted that this will significantly increase power flows between Armenia and Iran. At the same time there will be opportunities for the expansion of the regional cooperation.
During the meeting there were also discussed opportunities to build wind power stations with a capacity of 50 MW by the Iranian capital. The parties expressed hope that they will be able to complete the agreements in that respect in the near future.
Stressing the importance of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation, the participants expressed their willingness to continue the efforts towards the implementation and expansion of the proposed projects.
