The Armenia's Delegation Participates in the IAEA General Conference

The 60th session of the General Conference of the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency was launched in Vienna,  on September 26.

The Armenia's delegation,  headed by the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan partisipates in the conference.

Highlighting the role of the IAEA in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy, the head of Armenia's delegation A. Manukyan  expressed his satisfaction with the long-term and effective cooperation with the IAEA,  especially for the IAEA's role and support in the process of raising the safety level of the ANPP.

In the framework of the General Conference the Armenia's delegation had meetings with the Russian delegation, with the representatives of Euratom, the US Department of Energy, the employees of the IAEA Physical Protection Department, as well as a number of other delegations.

During the meetings, the sides discussed issues of further cooperation, also the issues concerning the  nuclear energy development and  ensuring security.
