The subsidy given to the consumers in June amounted 590 million drams

In June subsidies, provided by the RA Government and “Tashir” Charitable Foundation, for the electricity consumption by the population comprised 590 million Armenian drams. 679 thousand consumers benefited from the compensation. 654 thousand of them were household consumers. In June the subsidy designed for the population exceeded 566 million drams.

During the last 11 months total amount of 6.7 billion drams was provided by the Government and “Tashir” Foundation as compensation to the consumers. Household consumers received the main part of the subsidy (6.4 milliard drams).

According to the Government decision, adopted on October 29, 2015, the subsidies are provided for the household consumers, who used up to 250 kilowatts of electricity per month, as well as small and medium enterprises, which spent 500 kWh per month - 250 kilowatts in size. Subsidy granting will continue until 31 of July, 2016.
