The Contracts of Reconstruction of the Substations were Concluded

There have been concluded agreements with the selected contractor organizations as a result of the international competition announced within the framework of the «Electricity Supply Reliability of the Additional Financing» and «Transmission Network Improvement» loan programs implementing in the energy sector of Armenia.

The program envisages the reconstruction of the «Haghtanak», «Charentsavan 3» «Vanadzor-1» and «Ashnak» substations.

Especially, in the result of the international competition have been signed contracts for reconstruction of «Haghtanak» 220 kV substation with Russian company «Kaskad Energo» LLC (about 14.1 million US dollars),
of «Charentsavan 3» 110 kV substation with the  Portugal  «EFACEC Engenharia e Sistemas S.A.» Company (6.2 million US dollars),
of «Vanadzor-1» 110 kV and «Ashnak» 220 kV substations with the Chinese «XIAN ELECTRIC ENGINEERING CO.» LTD company (accordingly, 5.1 million US dollars and 9.2 million US dollars).

It is expected, that up to the end of 2018, the target companies will reconstruct and put into operation all four substations, that have a history of decades, by the loan funds provided by the World Bank.

As a result of reconstruction and the replacement of the physically and morally worn equipment, will be minimized the losses and emergency breakings, as well as, will increase reliability of power system and of the energy supply of consumers, will be reduced operational costs.
