The Exploratory Drilling will be Carried out to Verify the Resource of Hot Water

There will be carried out exploratory geothermal drilling within the grant program in Armenia in this year.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan, the aim of drilling is to verify the underground hot water resource in Karkar section, in the south of Armenia.

It is intended to build the geothermal power station of the 30 megawatt capacity in the case of a positive result.

It is expected, that the digging works will start in the second half of June.
