The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System will be Expanded

Within the framework of the electricity transmission network reconstruction project, a contractor organization will be selected soon, in order to expand the Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.

The RA Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan has stated about this during the 2015 budget performance report discussions at the National Assembly commissions.

According to him, the works will be carried out as a part of the $ 37 million loan project provided by the Asian Development Bank, which plans to spend about 220 kilometers of fiber optic cable for the expansion of the SCADA system.

The other component regards to the reconstruction of the <Agarak-2> and <Shinuhayr> substations. It is planned to finish the works in 2019.
