The Next in Turn Quadrilateral Meeting was Held

On April 13, in Yerevan, was held the joint meeting of the heads of the Ministries of Energy of Georgia, Armenia, Russia and Iran, according to the agreements reached during the quadrilateral meeting at the end of the last year, dedicated to regional cooperation in the energy sphere.

The meeting was attended by the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources L. Yolyan, the RF Energy Minister A. Novak, the Iranian Energy Minister H. Chitchian, the Georgian Deputy Minister of Energy I. Eloshvili.

There were discussed the possibilities of expanding of the cooperation in the energy sphere of the four countries during the quadrilateral  meeting on December 23, 2015, considering the favorable conditions in terms of the implementation of the new regional programs.

The issues mainly refer to the such regional programs that can create conditions for the uniting the energy systems of the four countries, raising the level of mutual supplies’ management, as well as the efficiency,  safety and reliability of the energy systems’ activity.

There was been introduced the course of the works done by the Coordinating Council after the last meeting, also there were been outlined the future plans during the next in turn quadrilateral meeting.

At the end of the discussions, were signed three documents: the Road Map necessary for the purpose of the implementation of the North-South energy corridor’s forming initiative, the Minutes of the meeting and Memorandum of Understanding.
