The 78.8 per cent of Resident-Subscribers has Used the Electricity Subsidization

    Around the 78.8 percent of the resident-subscribers has used from the providing compensation for the spent on electricity in October after the amendments made in the subsidization order.

     As it is known, the Government adopted a decision on October 29, to make the subsidizing addressable for the population part and to provide it to the groups with less consumption.

The word regards to the resident subscribers having up to 250 kW of electricity consumption during the month.

The number of such customers amounted to more than 601 thousand in October. Compared with the previous month the number of the resident subscribers users of the subsidization decreased by 162 thousands or by 21.2 per cent.

Instead of that, the amount of subsidy provided to subscribers of this group has decreased by 40 per cent in October.

    This means that, before the change in the subsidization order, the 21.2 per cent of the resident subscribers who use more energy, was receiving the 40 per cent of the whole recoverable amount, and only 60 percent of the amount was reaching to the all other consumers of this group.

The compensation in terms of the resident-subscribers amounted to 534.5 million drams in October. It was reduced by 366.6 million compared with September.

The amount to be refunded for SMEs who use up to 500 kilowatts of electricity was 23.8 million drams. Compared with the previous month it was increased by 1.2 million drams.

Note that after the change in the electricity subsidization order the provision of compensation have assumed the Government and "Tashir" charitable foundation by equal extent.

Moreover, the obligation operates for the entire period of subsidization, from August 1, 2015, until the July 31, 2016.
