On September 25, the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan received the members of delegation of KfW (Restoration Loan Bank) Bank, the Head of the Department of the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of German Federal Republic Dirk Shatshnayder, the representatives of the same Ministry Klaus Tantsberger and Anna Katharina Derkorn, as well as the regional head of KfW Bank David Betolatsa and the chief coordinator of the Bank Bella Andriasian.
Welcoming the participants, the Minister thanked the German Government and KfW Bank for their assistance to the programs implemented in Armenia's energy sector.
Yervand Zakharyan also noted, that the construction works of Armenia-Georgia 400 kV power transmission line, financed by the KfW Bank, are being successfully continued, underlining the importance of the program in term of the regional integration process of energy systems.
In his turn, the Head of the Department of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Shatshnayder stressed the importance of the further cooperation and considered expedient to implement projects in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency in addition to the ongoing work programs.
The Minister expressed the readiness of the Armenian side.
During the meeting, the Strategy for Future Development of the Armenian Energy System was also presented to the guests.
