29.12.2014 The Minister has Met Again with “Nairit’s’’ Employees

On December 29, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan met with the representatives of coordination group of “Nairit’s” employees, who has presented once again two main issues disturbing them: salaries’ debt repayment and further operation questions of "Nairit" plant.

The Minister Yervand Zakharyan assured the “Nairit’s” employees again, that he is beside them and ready to defend their rights within the law.

As for the issue of salaries, the Minister has noted that "Nairit’s" employees will receive one month's salary by January 20.

According to the Minister, there should be shown a unified approach for the salaries debt repayment problem and do not to separate the problems of employees, who have been dismissed. And as a possible option of debt repayment can be considered the alienation of the part of "Nairit’s" property, which no longer will be required for further operation of the plant.

The "Nairit’s" property is pledged now to the CIS Interstate Bank.

The Minister said that the government has taken steps to remove it of the pledge and there are positive trends already.

As for the "Nairit’s" reopening problem, it would be possible to discuss it after the finishing of research, implemented by the World Bank’s professionals, the results of which will be announced in February.
