The Package of Proposals Aimed to Reducing of the Energy Losses is Ready

On December 17, the Deputy Ministers of Energy and Natural Resources of RA  Areg Galstyan and Iosif Isayan have introduced the ,,Package of proposals aimed to the electricity accounting, calculations losses and their reducing  in the energy system’’ to the mass media representatives.

According to them, there was established a working group by the assignment of the country's leadership and by the order of RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources six month ago, in order to investigate the dimensions of technological and actual  losses in the energy system, as well as, the sources and causes of their emergence.

The experts of the Ministry and the energy sector are included in the working group. The results of researches were been discussed with the interested

sides regularly.

As a result, there has been developed a package recommendations directed to the improvement of the operation of RA energy system, the rising of efficiency of investments and the quality of services provided to consumers, as well as modernization and reduction of losses of the accounting system of electricity.

The 13 of 24 recommendations being developed have an organizational and normative character, while others are directed to the modernization of the used devices and equipments, accounting complexes and their schemes.

By the assessment of the expert working group, the implementation of  recommendations requiring a small investments during the 2 years, the actual losses will decrease by the 1-1,2 percent, including the reduction of technological losses by 0,3-0,5 percent, respectively.

The implementation of the full package of the recommendations, by the preliminary assessment, will lead to a reduction of the actual losses by 2%.
