< The visit to Iran was fruitful>: A. Movsisyan

From 4 to 7 of November, the delegation led by the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan had a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On November 5, in the frame of the visit, there was a meeting of the Energy Minister of Iran Hamid Chitchyan and the Minister of Energy of Armenia Armen Movsisyan, at which, the leaders of the energy sectors of two countries discussed the process of joint projects in the energy sector and the development prospects.

On November 6, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan met with Iranian Oil Minister Bizhan Zangane.

During the meeting, they discussed the process of Iran-Armenia energy and gas exchange program, the possibility of increasing the gas volumes importing from Iran during the winter months, as well as, the opportunities of expanding the future cooperation projects.

On November 7, the Energy and Natural Resources Minister of Armenia Armen Movsisyan has also met with the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani to hand him the RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s commission.

During the meeting there was discussed the issue of expanding of the existing foundations of the bilateral cooperation. The President Rouhani also appreciated the friendly ties between Iran and Armenia, and marked the importance of further strengthening cultural and economic relations between the two neighboring nations.

The Iranian leader also spoke about joint economic projects and expressed his hope, that these projects will be realized as soon as possible.
