The construction of Iran-Armenia high-voltage power line was discussed

On August 8, RA Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Artur Grigoryan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajjad and "Sanir" company representatives, the general contractor of the 400 kV transmission line construction project.

The interlocutors discussed the opportunities and prospects of bilateral and regional cooperation in the energy sphere. In this context, the construction of the Iran-Armenia high voltage power transmission third line have been discussed and, in particular, the implementation of the works by contractor in proper and timely manner.

The ambassador has mentioned that the construction of the power line will promote the implementation of the four-quarters of “North-South Electricity Corridor” (Armenia-Georgia-Iran-Russia).

Arthur Grigoryan in his turn has attached importance to the necessity of expanding the cooperation in quadrilateral format and has underlined that the Ministry is ready to exert maximum effort to implement the program.
