On June 27, RA Minister of Energy infrastructures and Natural Resources Artur Grigoryan received Petr Mikiska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia. Chief Executive Director of “SUMEC GEOPOWER AG” Michal Horacek also attended the meeting.
Issues related to Armenian-Czech cooperation in the field of energy were discussed. In that context, the opportunities and perspectives of implementing joint programs in the field of renewable energy were highlighted. It was noted that “SUMEC GEOPOWER AG” intends to build a geothermal power plant in Armenia.
The Ambassador added that the Czech Republic attaches importance to the strengthening of mutually beneficial ties with Armenia and underlined that there are wide opportunities for implementation of important programs of mutual interest.
At the end of the meeting the ambassador thanked for warm reception and noted that the embassy is ready to make maximum effort to implement joint programs of the two countries.
