Geological fund digitization is completed

Digitization of geological information available in "Republican Geological Fund" is completed. All the information stored here is now available online.

According to Shushanik Kerobyan, Head of Geology, Normative-Methodological and Analysis Division of the Agency for Geology of the RA Ministry of Energy infrastructures and Natural Resources, the mining industry digitization was possible with the support of the US Agency for International Development. The works started in the second half of last year. About 1500 mineral deposits and demonstration licenses have been digitized. All digitized information is available at www.geo-fund.am.

- Due to the digitalization of geological information, a huge amount of information baza has been created, which is a serious support to the scientific-educational sector, civil society representatives, businesspeople and other stakeholders,- said Shushanik Kerobyan.

According to him, the achievement of information and accessibility will make the mining industry more attractive for investments. As a result of digitalization, investors will have the opportunity to spend an unlimited time and money, get acquainted with the information base in the fund.
