The International Renewable Energy Agency was established in 2009. There are 132 member countries. The headquarters is in Abu Dhabi. The Republic of Armenia is a member of The International Renewable Energy Agency since 2009.
International Renewable Energy Agency's primary mission is to promote the widespread adoption and use of all types of renewable energy, including energy efficiency measures, taking into account national characteristics and regional priorities, and contribute to the preservation of the environment and limit negative impacts on natural resources.
Assembly and Council are the decision-making bodies. The Secretariat coordinate the activity of The International Renewable Energy Agency.
