Planned preventive maintenance works will be implemented at Yerevan Thermal Power Plant

On May 31, a working consultation was held at the Yerevan Thermal Power Plant headed by Minister of Energy infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan dedicated to the planned preventive maintenance of the operating unit. The process of preparations for the events scheduled for July 16-31 of this year was presented.

It was noted that during this period "General Electric" specialists will carry out scheduled regular inspections of the gas turbine unit as well as preventive repair of other main and auxiliary equipment of the power unit. There were also touched upon the technical safeguards necessary for the implementation of these activities. The parties also discussed the construction of the Yerevan TPP in 2018 planned capital repair issues.

It was noted that during this period, "General Electric" will modernize the gas turbine unit, which will allow the plant to increase its capacity by about 7 megawatts, and increase the efficiency by 1 percent.

As a result of the consultation it was noted that the planned activities are in accordance with the established schedule.
