Expanding Opportunities of Involvement of KfW bank in energy sector projects were discussed

On April 5, RA Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan received the delegation of KfW German Development Bank headed by Thomas Eisenbach, the Head of the Department of Energy of the Bank. The programs being implemented in Armenia's energy sector and new involvement opportunities have been discussed.

Touching upon Armenia-Georgia high-voltage transmission line construction project being implemented by financing of KfW bank Ashot Manukyan mentioned that based on the results of the international tender, currently the process of contractors' selection is going on. The Minister expressed hope that it should be possible to make a final decision on selecting the contractors in the frameworks of determined schedule which will let launch the construction works of the line in the end of this year.

The sides also touched upon the cooperation projects in wind and solar energy sectors.
