In early two months of this year an increase of volumes of electricity production was recorded.
The increase was about 10.4 percent. Overall, 1 billion 450 million kWh of electricity was generated which is 136.5 million kWh more than the previous year.
The increase of production volumes was due to the increase of both domestic consumption and export. In January-February of this year more than 25 million kWh of electricity was exported to Georgia. In the same period of the last year no deliveries were made to this direction.
Instead of last year's 8.9 million kWh 1 million kWh of electricity was imported from Georgia in the same period of this year.
