On February 5, the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan hosted the Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili connected with the completion of the diplomatic mission in Armenia.
Highly appreciating the Ambassador's contribution to the strengthening of Armenian-Georgian friendly relations the Minister expressed hope that the same will be also continued in the future.
Referring to the cooperation of two countries in the energy field, Y. Zakharyan mentioned that they are successfully developing and expanding.
There is expected a range of important projects within the framework of the regional integration, the successful implementation of which will enable to rise the interaction of the energy systems of Armenia and Georgia to a new level.
The matter concerns to the creation of Iran-Armenia-Georgia electric energy corridor and in this direction the works have already started.
Stressing the importance of the quadrilateral Memorandum signed between Armenia, Georgia, Russia and Iran, in the end of last year, in Yerevan, Y. Zakharyan hoped, that it will serve as a basis for further expansion of cooperation.
At the end the Minister wished the Ambassador
success in his future activities.
Expressing gratitude for the effective cooperation during the last five years, Tengiz Sharmanashvili added, that he is ready to continue his efforts for the further development and deepening of the Armenian-Georgian relations.
The same day, the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Czech Republic Petr Mikiska.
During the meeting they discussed the issues of bilateral economic cooperation, as well as the issues concerning to the visit of the Trade and Industry Minister of Czech Republic to Armenia in the near future.
