The Possibilities of Electricity Transit were Discussed with Georgia

On November 2, the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan has visited to Georgia, where he met with the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze and CEO of Georgian gas transmission company Georgiy Benashvili.

The Board Chairman and General Director of   "Gasprom Armenia" CJSC Vardan Harutyunyan has taken part in the meeting also.

During the meeting were discussed the issues related either to the safe and reliable gas transportation, or to the technical problems.

Considering the Iran-Armenia and Armenia-Georgia high-voltage 400 kV power line’s construction, which is scheduled to complete in 2018, during the meeting there were discussed electricity transit transportation possibilities by the north-south and south-north directions.
