Minister Grigoryan received Ambassador Yamada

On June 19, RA Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Arthur Grigoryan received Japan's Ambassador to Armenia Jun Yamada.

Issues related to Armenian-Japanese cooperation in the spheres of energy and natural resources were discussed.

Welcoming the guests, the Minister thanked the Government of Japan for the assistance provided to Armenia energy sector and expressed hope that the current cooperation would be continuous.

Ambassador Yamada highlighted the signing of the agreement on investments’ liberalization, encouragement and protection between the Government of the RA and the Government of Japan, adding that it would be a new stimulus for attracting investments.

In that context, in particular, the opportunities and prospects of joint programs implementation in sectors of renewable energy and natural resources were highlighted.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Jun Yamada thanked for warm reception and noted that the embassy was ready to support the implementation of possible projects between the two countries.
