Minister Grigoryan received Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco

On May 23, RA Minister of Energy infrastructures and Natural Resources Artur Grigoryan received Italian Ambassador to Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco.

Issues related to the development and expansion of Armenian-Italian cooperation in the field of energy were discussed at the meeting.

In that context, it has touched upon the program of the construction Yerevan Thermal Power Plant՛s second power unit by the Italian RENCO Company. Minister Grigoryan expressed hope that the construction of the power unit will begin in the near future.

Ambassador Del Monaco noted that Italy has rich experience in the field of renewable energy and added that there is an intention to cooperate particularly in the field of solar energy.

The sides expressed willingness to find mutually beneficial cooperation to deepen economic relations.
