On May 15, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources and introduced the newly-appointed Minister Arthur Grigoryan to the staff. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan underlined that the he’s for the development of positive trends in the energy sector. “Alternative energy development has been developing at a fairly rapid pace in the last 1.5 years, this should continue and give as much impetus as possible”, Nikol Pashinyan noted. He also touched upon the implementation of a number of programs, in particular, the construction of the Meghri HPP and the extension of the term of operation of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant.
Former Minister of RA Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan noted that he is ready to share his knowledge and experience with the Ministry and Minister. "I’m sure that the continuity of the programs in this area is an important precondition for development," Manukyan said.
The newly-appointed Minister Arthur Grigoryan thanked for his confidence and assured that own skills and abilities will be able to serve the job in order to ensure sustainable development and energy security.
